The Marriage and Family Department of the Centre is run by FAMILY LIGHT OF THE NATION FOUNDATION (FLNF) – a pro-life and pro-family registered non-governmental organization (NGO) of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Mother of Christ. It is established with the objectives of promoting human life from conception to natural death, fostering family values, and helping to bring about peace and harmony in homes. Therefore, FNLF seeks to tackle, as far as possible, contemporary human life and family problems and to restore family happiness.
Vision: Restoration of human society where family values, dignity, peace and joy have their pride of place.
Mission
FLNF envisions a society where respect for human life and family harmony and happiness thrive.
The department organizes marriage enrichment programs at all stages of married life; marriage preparation courses, seminars, workshops, conferences, home and community visitation in order to achieve our goal. The programs offer unique opportunities for proper understanding of the true meaning of human sexuality, and of marriage and family.
FAMILY PLANNING
This includes:
- Provision of opportunities for proper understanding of family planning and responsible parenthood
- Endorsing Natural Family Planning as the morally acceptable method of family planning that respects human life and dignity
- Training couples and teachers in the Natural Family method
- Sex selection
